The Igbo Union Tübingen-Reutlingen e.V. was founded in 2016 and is registered with the Stuttgart District Court as a socio-cultural, non-profit, and non-political association based in Reutlingen, Germany. Our goals include:

  • Promoting Nigerian Igbo art and culture
  • To create a forum where the spirit of brotherhood among the Igbo people flourishes
  • Promotion of the youth program
  • To support the Federal Government’s integration policy
  • Promoting and supporting goodwill and better understanding between NDI Igbo, Nigerians, Germans and other nationalities.

A representative of the Nigerian Embassy was received by the Igbo Union, Tübingen-Reutlingen e.V.

We strive to be a vibrant and united Igbo community in Germany that promotes cultural pride, integration, and mutual understanding, while spreading the rich heritage, values, and entrepreneurial spirit of the NDI Igbo people around the world and across generations.

  • Preservation and promotion of Igbo art, language and culture in Germany and beyond.
  • Creating a strong platform for unity, brotherhood and social support among the Igbo in the diaspora.
  • Empowering youth through cultural education, mentoring and leadership opportunities.
  • Supporting the Federal Government’s integration efforts through integrative cultural and social initiatives.
  • Promoting intercultural dialogue and goodwill between NDI Igbo, Germans, Nigerians and other nationalities.
  • Highlighting the industrious and entrepreneurial character of the Igbo people as a model of cultural excellence and positive global identity.
